Rocky Ridges in Pokopia
Mountain and mine country, and the best place on the map to dig for ore.
Rocky Ridges covers Pewter City and Mt. Moon together, which in practice means a lot of rock above you and a mine running down underneath. It is the area you come to when a recipe wants metal rather than wood.
Pewter Museum survived, after a fashion. The exhibits are still inside the mountain, which is a strange thing to walk into halfway through a mining trip.
If you are working through the crafting tree and keep stalling on ore, this is the answer. The area is weighted toward it in a way no other part of the map is.
