What are Important Requests in Pokopia?

They are the story. Each area sets one, it names something wrong with the place, and finishing it is what moves you on. Everything else in the game is optional beside them.

How many requests are there in total?

Beside the 6 story ones there are 225 ordinary requests, so 231 in all. The ordinary ones are optional and most hand you an item when you finish.

What is the difference between an Important Request and an ordinary one?

An Important Request is the story of an area and you have to finish it to move on. An ordinary request is a small favour a Pokémon asks, it can be ignored, and it usually pays out an item.

Do you have to finish them in order?

Broadly yes, because each one opens the area the next is in. Within an area you are usually free to wander off and build whatever you like first.

What is the last Important Request?

Build the Beautiful Building, in Bubbly Basin. It needs the Expansion Pass and it will not start until the basin has reached Environment Level 3.

Pokopia Important Requests

Every area has one thing wrong with it and one Pokémon who can fix it. These six requests are the closest Pokopia gets to a plot.

Yawn Up A Storm

Withered Wastelands

Make it rain in the Withered Wastelands.

The first area sets the pattern for every one after it: something is wrong with the place, and fixing it means finding the Pokémon whose ability solves it. Nothing has fallen on the Wastelands in a long time, and the answer is a Pokémon that can bring weather with it. Slowpoke and its Yawn are what gets the sky moving.

Withered Wastelands

Pass the challenge in the building on the Wastelands coast.

A strange structure on the coast, a machine inside it, and a test to pass. It runs alongside the main restoration work rather than blocking it, and it is the first hint that the Wastelands have more going on than weather.

Bleak Beach

Bring light back to Bleak Beach.

Bleak Beach is dark at every hour, and no amount of waiting changes that. Meowth starts you off, and from there it is a matter of finding Pokémon who can generate light and power. This is the area where the Illuminate and Generate specialties stop being curiosities and start being the point.

Two rescues come first: Chef Dente, stuck in a barrel, and DJ Rotom, tucked away in a cave. Get them both out and Rotom has an idea about what the area needs, which turns out to involve building somewhere to hold it.

The Skylands are littered with scrap, and Tinkamaster the Tinkaton is extremely interested in what humans left behind. What starts as curiosity about machinery turns into the largest build the base game asks of you, and it needs a wide roster rather than one specialty repeated.

The Expansion Pass request, and it will not start until the basin reaches Environment Level 3. Popplio brings the idea. Most of the work happens underwater, so it is really a test of whether you have got comfortable with diving.
